Welcome to the Northeast Youth Basketball League (NYBL) website. NYBL is a 501(c)(3) organization. Since 1985, NYBL's number-one goal has been to teach youth the proper fundamentals of basketball and teamwork. Each year, the league has a diverse group of youth from a range of backgrounds participating in the league throughout Richland County and the surrounding areas.

NYBL provides a safe environment for the players to have fun and learn basketball fundamentals, all while promoting healthy and responsible living. This directly contributes to the players developing life skills and confidence that transcends beyond the basketball court.

Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA 2009 National Team Selection (Updated)

One of our Boys 13-15 League players has been selected to attend the 2009 NBA All Star Game as one of the 10 Boys & Girls that the Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA will showcase during All Star Weekend!

His selection is based on a number of characteristics to include his basketball skills, citizenship, academics, humbleness, and a willingness to be coached.    

It is a great honor and privilege to be selected to be one of ten who were chosen from thousands of candidates from across the country.  We are proud to have “PJ” represent us on the 2009 Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA National Team.

Please congratulate Perry “PJ” Dozier and the Dozier family for his selection!

NBA All Star Weekend – We were well represented this week.  Perry (PJ) Dozier won the skills challenge and earned the MVP award during the game this weekend in Phoenix, AZ.  In only two quarters he had 15 points, 6 blocks, and 7 assists.

All-academic team

Starting this year, NYBL will be recognizing players who make the honor roll in their first marking period at our annual awards day ceremony on February 21st 2009.   Our goal, in this effort, is to assist you in encouraging and motivating our players and your children in the pursuit of excellence on and off the court.
